Top 3 security screen door infill panel in Australia

Stainless Steel Security Wire Mesh

Stainless steel security wire mesh is a preferred choice for security screen door infill due to its exceptional strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. It provides a high level of security, acting as a strong physical barrier against intruders. Stainless steel mesh is also highly effective in preventing insect intrusion while allowing for a great airflow and visibility up to 42%.

In the Australian market, a diverse range of stainless steel wire mesh options is available, each varying in grade and suitability for different applications. Among them, marine grade 316 security wire mesh stands out as the most widely utilized choice. Renowned brand names such as Invisi-Gard, Screenguard,Secureview and Amplimesh have established themselves as prominent players in this market. Even though there are so many different patented brand name in the market, the basic specification of this security wire mesh still refers to a black powder coated 11Meshx0.8mm T316 grade woven wire mesh.

One notable security mesh specification, extensively utilized by Crimsafe for advanced security, is the 10Meshx0.9mm wire mesh composed of 304 grade stainless steel. This specific configuration, featuring a slightly increased wire diameter of 0.1mm, provides enhanced security benefits. However, it is advisable to consider opting for a higher marine grade 316 stainless steel mesh, particularly in coastal environments like Australia, to ensure superior corrosion resistance and longevity.

In order to comply with Australian standards, security wire mesh must undergo two fundamental tests: the knife shear test and the 240-hour salt spray test. Additionally, there are various other security tests that pertain to the performance of finished screen doors or windows. At Screen Tec, we specialize in producing and supplying security wire mesh that not only meets but exceeds these standards. Our products successfully pass the rigorous knife shear test and 480-hour salt spray test, doubling the required standard. We are committed to providing exceptional quality and durability in our security wire mesh solutions.

Perforated Aluminium Security Mesh

Our specially designed security screen door infill mesh panels are made from solid aluminium, available in either 1.6mm or 1.8mm thickness. After undergoing a powder coating process, the panels achieve a final thickness ranging from 1.75mm to 1.8mm and 1.95mm to 2mm respectively.

For the 1.6mm thick perforated aluminium plates, we offer two different hole size options. The first is pattern #2030OA40, featuring a 60-degree staggered hole pattern with 2mm hole diameter and 3mm centers. This configuration provides a ventilation rate of 40% or an opening rate of 40%.

However, for the 1.8mm thick panels (before powder coating), which become 1.95mm to 2mm thick after powder coating, the only available hole configuration is pattern #2337OA35, maintaining the same 60-degree staggered hole pattern with 2.3mm hole diameter and 3.7mm hole pitch, resulting in a 35% opening area.

The development of this perforated aluminium mesh panel was inspired by the success of stainless steel security woven wire mesh. Our perforated aluminium mesh not only surpasses the Australian Knife shear test requirements but also provides enhanced security compared to stainless steel security wire mesh at a relatively lower cost.

The security perforated aluminium mesh is coated with Interpon powder coating, a renowned product manufactured by Akzo Nobel, a leading producer in the powder coating industry. This high-quality finish not only enhances the durability and longevity of the mesh but also provides an attractive appearance. Akzo Nobel's Interpon powder coating is known for its exceptional performance, offering superior resistance to weathering, UV rays, corrosion, and various environmental factors. By utilizing this reputable powder coating, our security perforated aluminium mesh maintains its integrity and aesthetic appeal, ensuring long-lasting protection for your security screen door.

The smooth surface of the perforated aluminium mesh, along with its staggered small hole patterns, has gained favor among a wide range of customers. Cleaning and maintenance are effortless, as the smooth surface allows for easy removal of dust and dirt particles with a simple wipe-down.

HDVA Security Mesh

HDVA Mesh, also known as Heavy DVA Mesh, is an enhanced and robust variation of the popular DVA Mesh. Originally, DVA Mesh was recognized as a 0.5mm thick lightweight privacy screen door mesh, providing a balance between visibility and security. However, the introduction of HDVA Mesh has taken privacy and security to a whole new level.

Constructed from 1.8mm solid aluminium panels, HDVA Mesh undergoes an Interpon powder coating process, resulting in an approximate thickness of 1.95 to 2.0mm. What sets HDVA Mesh apart is its unique punched-up hump design, resembling scales. These humps not only increase the overall thickness of the mesh but also significantly enhance its strength. When measuring the overall thickness, including the bumps, HDVA Mesh reaches approximately 3mm, making it an incredibly secure security mesh option.

While HDVA Mesh offers exceptional security, it is also a cost-effective choice compared to other high-security options such as security wire mesh or perforated aluminium. Despite being relatively new in the market, HDVA Mesh provides the perfect solution for those seeking utmost privacy and security for their office or front door.

The heavy-duty nature of HDVA Mesh ensures that it withstands external forces and provides a reliable barrier against unauthorized access. Its robust construction makes it highly resistant to cutting or tampering, offering peace of mind for property owners.

Although HDVA Mesh may not be as widely known or popular as other security mesh options, its superior privacy features and enhanced strength make it an excellent choice for those who prioritize privacy and security above all else. By considering HDVA Mesh, you can achieve a perfect balance between privacy, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

When opting for HDVA Mesh or any security mesh product, it is crucial to source it from reputable manufacturers or suppliers who adhere to stringent quality control standards. This ensures that you receive a high-quality product that meets industry requirements and delivers reliable security solutions for your specific needs.
